Dr. John Samas
Dr. Samas is a published author in multiple medical journals, earned a Young Investigator Award, and given several podium presentations at locoregional, national, and international conferences. Dr. Samas moved to Colorado to be closer to family and be able to pursue his love of the outdoors. He holds privileges at five hospitals in the Denver area. His love of science and desire to help people drew him into the field of medicine. He has a special interest in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction. In his free time, Dr. Samas enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing basketball, traveling, and hiking.
Education and Experience
He received his training in Plastic, Cosmetic, and Reconstructive Surgery with the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC, which is the oldest and largest private academic plastic surgery practice in the United States, in affiliation with both Stony Brook University and Nassau University Medical Center.
As part of his residency, Dr. Samas trained in several busy New York Metropolitan Area Hospitals, which consisted of multiple Level-1 Trauma Centers, Regional Burn Centers, and Hyperbaric Center.
During this time, he gained ample experience in a wide array of areas including: Cosmetic/Aesthetic, Breast and Cancer Reconstruction, Hand Surgery, Burn Surgery, Abdominal Reconstruction, Wound Care, and Trauma Reconstruction.
