Ear Surgery Otoplasty

Otoplasty

When it comes to balancing the facial anatomy, ears play a pivotal role. Those born with their ears congenitally protruding outward may feel self-conscious. Ear Surgery sometimes referred to as “ear pinning,” is a procedure that adjusts the protrusion of the ears so that they are flatter against the side of your head. Otoplasty can address the position, size, and proportion of your ears.

Candidates for Otoplasty

Although many adults pursue this procedure, it is commonly elected by children and their parents to permanently correct the protrusion and improve the position of the ears. Many otoplasty patients are between the ages of 4-14. As a parent making this decision on behalf of your child, you shoulder a large responsibility. Our compassionate, experienced plastic surgeons will thoroughly discuss the procedure with you to inform your decision.
