Your Consultation

At Grossman | Capraro Plastic Surgery, we pride ourselves on top-quality work and the best patient care. The decision to have an elective procedure requires significant consideration on your part, and we respect that. Our staff will work with you to ensure a comfortable and informative visit as you discuss surgical goals.

A typical plastic surgery consultation begins by filling out some paperwork. A pre-consultation packet will be mailed to you, and you may choose to fill these forms out ahead of your consultation.

Next, you will accompany one of our photo specialists to our photo lab to take “before” pictures for your chart. These photos are helpful for the surgeons to refer to in assessing your individual case and will also give you a basis for comparison with your finished results.

You will move into one of our private consultation rooms to view an informational video about your desired procedure. This video will give you some basic background information and help bring to the surface questions you would like to discuss with the surgeon.

Your surgeon will come into the room for a brief examination and discussion of your goals. This discussion is a crucial step on your road to achieving total body harmony. Your surgeon will conduct an artistic analysis, evaluating your desired outcome as well as your natural physical features. If your surgeon feels that your preferred plastic surgery procedure is not the right way to achieve your desired outcome, they will explain why and suggest a more appropriate course of action. Together, you will formulate a solution that will satisfy your goals, providing you with natural-looking results that enhance your physical appearance.

Our surgeons will take as much time as necessary to ensure that you are completely comfortable with your recommended course of action and will answer any questions you have. When you are considering a plastic surgery procedure, we believe patient education is an important part of the process. During your consultation, your surgeon will take the time necessary to make sure you understand everything involved in accomplishing your goals, including what to expect before, during, and after surgery. They will also provide a thorough explanation of any risks and complications that might occur.

Finally, you will meet with one of our surgical coordinators to discuss the financial aspects of the surgery, as well as various payment options.  Some patients choose to schedule their surgery at this time; others prefer to think about it.

Plan to be in our office for about 2 hours for your consultation. Be sure to block enough time in your day to ensure your appointment is not rushed. We ask that you attend your consultation without children or pets, as it may be unsafe for them to be in a procedure room or unattended while at the practice.

The cost of our consultation for plastic surgery is $125 and medical aesthetics is $75, and it is credited towards your plastic surgery procedure when you schedule.
